Circling Mystery, the poem below this written piece... is about life and death circling in and out of our lives. Changes mean a death, or loss, or change..they signify something is now new and different.
Often we shrink away from those changes, but once we get what they are about there is some new understanding. It is often brought by these new things that come and leave so often.
If we attach ourselves to anything....wealth, things, places, people... anyone, or anything, so entirely that we lose our hold on who we are, then we are in trouble. We always need to be within the scope of who we really are...our Essence.
We are tied to one truth only, that we are created by God. This is our major life-line, our Ground of Being. Our worth lies in this alone.
The poem below says we are transient and need not fear this, for we are all the same. So, we live well now, to the full now, give our best now, love fully now...no one can say if tomorrow will be here, or into transition.
We are not alone! This world belongs to God, not us; we belong to God. Enjoy the each moment!
A poem by Anne Weems speaks of a woman dying from cancer, someone visiting enters and hears her whipsering to God her thanks for the ride!
Wow! I can only hope I can see it that way when my time for transition comes...no matter what circumstances I find myself in.
If you gave up something this Lent, or decided to add more spiritual time, or a new dimension of acceptance in some way, may you know the love that led to this time and the fulfillment it leads to.
We aren't meant for suffering, but we sure can do that to ourselves and to others. Let us live within love, not anger and judgement.
Be at Peace in these times and know God's kingdom will surely not leave one soul out. Someone once said that if God is the Mother and father of all, it is God then, who says who our brothers and sisters are. God has surely done that. We all belong to the Ground and Source of all life.
Continued blessings of moving on toward the Light in this season of Lent.
